The services that I offer are designed to help athletes with self promotion in the terms of highlights films. Colleges and scouts are not traveling the country looking at athletes, but instead they are evaluating athletes online. And while YouTube is a great place for videos and self-promotion, it is not where colleges go to see athlete highlights.
I can recommend reputable services and providers to have your athletes highlights published to. Before we get to that point you will first need to have a highlight film that ranges between 3 to 5 minutes along with one to two best performance games. In short there are really only two services that I charge for and that is because it is time consuming on my part. However, if you wish to do this yourself, I am more than happy to point you in the right direction.
What I can do for you:
- I can convert your VHS or DVD video into a digital to be used for the creation of a personalized highlight film.
- I can take digital film products and create a personalized highlight film of 3 to 5 minutes for your athlete.
All my pricing is based on time since that is what I value the most, however I can give you an estimate based on my experiences.
Video conversion – that is converting VHS or DVD to digital copy to be used for highlight film production: $50 an hour. On average it takes 1 hour to convert 1 VHS or DVD.
Highlight film production – taking digital video and producing the personalized highlight film: $75 an hour. On average it takes 3 hours per 1 hour of video:
- 1 hour is used to watch the video and select the individual highlights.
- 1.5 hour is used to cut the film, select the top 3 to 5 minutes worth of video and create a master file.
- .5 hour is used for my equipment to produce the video for Web format or burnt to a DVD.
